Hawk Stalk is a series of zines which combines my love of cartography and birdwatching, specifically for hawks and birds of prey. Each volume boasts new locations all over San Diego county where you can spot a hawk (to stalk). Download Volume I for free on this page, and check out the newest Volume here.
Sundays Quarterly is a collaborative zine series produced over the course of a few limited Sundays each year at Burn All Books’ studio. Illustrators, designers, poets, writers, photographers, and artists of all kinds are invited to contribute a page of work and take part in the risograph process.
Each Sundays Quarterly will have a theme that it will share with the Burn All Books zine reading series Left on Read. With each quarterly publication planned to be released at the following Left on Read event.
This quarter’s theme is Nature/Internet!
I was approached to speak about zines and the process of creating them for a workshop series called Each One Teach One, hosted by IDEA1 Apartments in East Village. I enthusiastically agreed and put together some helpful resources and information in a presentation for your viewing pleasure. Browse my slides or download and print the zine templates I've provided below.
Featuring illustrations of Japanese mythical monsters, also called Yokai.
